BODYSHELL:
The "Modellistic" attitude with high attention to details is an aspect which we consider to be fundamental and this has been fully adhered to, by special stamping process to realize the complete bodyshell in one piece still maintaining the true scale to the real car.
The body is injection-moulded plastic, fully detailed with clear plastic windows and injection-moulded plastic detailed interior.
Inside the cockpit there is driver, steering wheel, gear shift, fire estinguisher.
The body is fixed to the chassis by way of three screws, one at the front and two at the rear. It lies on top of the chassis, wheel arches clearance is 2mm.
Body dimensions are 64 mm. width, 137.5 mm. lenght, 32 mm. high.
The wheelbase is 91mm. and the distance from center of rear axle to center guide is 104 mm.
The weight of the fully accessoried and painted bodyshell it is 17g. whilst the weight of the RTR car it is 85g.
DECORATIONS:
The first livery version of the Audi R18 TDI is “Sebring Test 2011”
CHASSIS:
NSR AUDI R18 comes in INLINE setup, but it has same technology of Porsche 997, Corvette C6R and Audi R8: completely new high-tech chassis and new triangular inline motor support with some solutions for best performance on all kind of tracks:
The chassis is completely new, it is nylon made “flat” design of 1 to 1,5 mm. thickness for maximum grip when cornering whilst capable to withstand crashes.
The one piece front axle can move vertically and there are 4 x 4/40 screws for front axle ground clearance adjustments to suit any different track surface .
As innovative concept there is a “V” shaped drop arm 64 mm. long which by meaning of two screws can be fixed rigidly at a required height (from 0 to 4 mm. ground clearance with an M2 x 6mm. screw positioned in the forehead hole) to the main frame chassis or either be set for a certain free drop (with an M2 x 8/10 mm. screw in the other hole). Further more you can install a spring (like the ones used for the chassis suspension system) to enforce the “drop” effect.
Triangular Inline motor support is totally new! We have optimised all the fixed dimension so much to grant the possibility to produce narrower cars. The side screw pods are now closer to the centre and specifically are symmetric to guaranty the best car balance.
The sideway movements it has also being reduced by different support profile.
New triangular design; motor support is held in position to main chassis –according to our usual construction philosophy- by three screws (one in front and two at the side) which are only crossing it to screw into an independent ring. This allows the motor support to move independently from the chassis and in the desired amount (which can be set by simply unscrewing the screws from underneath).
There are new standard plastic cups and new cups for suspension springs.
The chassis comes with a removable traction magnet, located just ahead of the motor; the neodymium magnet is round, 4mm high and 8mm diameter.
The guide is counter-sunk well inside the drop arm guide to allow desired ground clearance by the use of thin spacers to be placed in between the guide itself and the drop arm.
Rear pillow block height allows the gear to protrude only 0.5mm under the chassis level thus leaving 1.5 mm. gear/track clearance.
PICK-UP GUIDE
The guide is similar to that of current offerings, but it is low-profile (only 1mm thickness); exclusive adjustable height using .005” , .010" or .020” new spacers, to cater for racing on all types of plastic tracks, as well as wooden tracks with raised, flush or recessed braid/copper tape to optimise the braids contact. The pivoting shaft is 8mm. high for a free vertical movement (12mm for rally version).
The brass connectors used to fix the wires to the guide are newly made, slightly bigger, chosen to guarantee a tough contact with our smallest thickness braids.

POLICY
‘Ready to Run’ is not enough!
NSR's objective is to make a car using modern technology, so high tech ‘Ready To Race’. It needed to be competitive straight out the box, without any fiddling or modifications required to make it perform properly and we believe that this third car has also achieved this target.
Our policy is to offer really a ‘Ready To Win’ car; we never like that people need to buy aluminium wheels to replace plastic wheels, soft rubbers to replace hard rubbers, or a motor to replace slow box stock motor…!
The NSR AUDI R18 TDI although it is a completely innovative mechanical project, it benefit the experience we accumulated since the Mosler GT project which has dominated in the GT top class either in National and International competitions since it was born in 2006, and we believe it will start a new era where performances will be pushed even further.
Manufacturing costs and artisan labor in Italy are however significantly higher than China or East Europe, but NSR is very proud of the fact that all the models are completely and entirely built in Italy, thus allowing NSR to have absolute control over quality and to demonstrate our Country capability.
All NSR cars are assembled and tested exclusively into NSR Factory and only by NSR employers, so NSR can offer full warranty about final product.
Retail price will be in proportion to the quality of product.

- NSR
- Le Mans miniatures
- Slot-it
