New oXigen software and firmware available
Dongle 2.10 is available. It requires RMS 1.00 RC1 or later, and is NOT compatible with anything before that. At the same time, we've made available RMS Chrono 1.00 RC3, so please download both. (RC: Release Candidate)
Controller 2.16 is also available now.
What they do:
Dongle 2.10 and new RMS RC3: corrected a few remaining issues on the lap timing. It's a long story and a quite complex code dealing with several transmission delays that must be accounted for, and which comes down to this: part of the things done by the PC are now done by the dongle, as the USB delay wouldn't allow us to calculate lap timing precisely. This required a change to the PC-dongle protocol, hence the necessary compatibility break between earlier RMS and dongle releases, and this one. All 'RC' RMS software will pop up an error message if used with dongle earlier than 2.10.
Note for PC Lap Counter users: Guy has received the new protocol format information, please note that until a new PCLC is out, dongle 2.06 should be used.
Controller 2.16
Following bugs have been fixed:
- 2 laps or no lap added when car enters in pitlane (if "Pit Lane Lap Trigger" --> "Entry"(Pit parallel to S/F line) is set)
- when car 'deslots' just after crossing the S/F lane, the lap is added only when the car is placed again on the track; the lap time is wrong.
Feature change
- now the first lap is always counted, even if lap time is smaller than Min Lap Time. Previously, first lap would be treated not differently from any other lap, meaning that after a controller reset, unless the first lap was very slow, one lap would be missed.
